Foraging in Rift involves gathering wood and plant materials. You need no tools to do this – and that's one less item in your bags taking up precious space. Foraging is required by several Rift professions, including: Apothecary, Artificing, Armorsmithing and Weaponsmithing. Other than Apothecary, most of the other professions do not need plant materials, only wood.
A forager will naturally increase his/her skill simply by gathering wood and plants while they quest or chase rifts. The below guide shows when you can learn/gather the item by level and where it is located. Also listed here are rarer recipes found by quest drops, and where you might find them.
Tip: You really can make money by selling foraged items in the Auction House. Many people do not take all the foraging professions they need to supply their main crafting professions. You'd be surprised at how many people are willing to buy ingredients in the AH. So don't vendor trash anything! Sell it for profit.

The following recipes are obtained via quest. While foraging, the item is looted and gives you the option to start the quest. The quest item drops may be mailed to other players, traded or sold on the Auction House.
